Hey, welcome to today's episode. I am super excited to be here, to share with you the '7 keys on how you can get enthusiasm and keep enthusiasm to build momentum inside of your team'.
My name is Brandy Shaver, and I am way, way, way pumped about today's topic, because you have to have enthusiasm and excitement to continue to build inside of your teams and to sell product.
Because if you're not excited, then nobody's really going to want to do anything with you and they also don't duplicate that!
So I'm going to share with you this morning what my VP of North America in our business shared with us, I thought it was genius.
So I want to go ahead and share it with you, so how you can GET and KEEP enthusiasm to build momentum in your team.
1. What is Your Selfish Goal?
So number one, first off, take time in a quiet place to figure out your selfish goal.
And when he said this, I was like, 'Hmm, selfish goal', right? Like that makes sense.
If you're not enthusiastic, if you're not excited, if it's not something that pushes you, then you got to figure out what is going to push you. Right?
That's the drive between everything that you're doing. So figure out your selfish goal that's going to move you into action.
I'm going to give you a couple examples. Okay. So you could have a selfish goal of you know, getting your people to a certain rank. You could do it to get your people to retire, to fire their boss and retire, right? There's lots of ways that you could do that.
2. Associate With Enthusiastic People
So the second one is associate with others that are also enthusiastic.
Have you ever been around people that are enthusiastic and excited?
I can think of like four or five in my life that when we jump on a call or I'm around them, I'm just excited. I'm just enthusiastic because they are!! Right? That's just how it works.
3. Build Financial Success
The next one is number three, work to build financial success.
There's a degree of enthusiasm that obviously comes when your bank balance starts to grow. Can any of you agree?
It's an incredible way to build enthusiasm is build to work or work to build financial success because when you have your bank balance growing, when you could see it getting bigger and bigger, there is a sense of enthusiasm and it's an externally verifiable way that you can see your business growing.
All right. So, a good saying that I like: when good people make good money, they help other good people make good money, which then in turn helps more good people make good money, which helps serve other people. Right?
So it's just this ripple effect. And it's really, really cool. If you can attach that to something maybe that you are excited about, maybe giving back or feeding children or whatever.
I have a gal that I do business with and every dollar that she makes it goes to feed more kids in America. So she's enthusiastic about that. That's a great way to become enthusiastic.
4. Master Your Personal Development
Number four, master your personal development, and apply it to your daily life.
Focus on growth. If you are just drowning in all of these things, and you're not taking time to grow yourself and personally develop yourself, it's really hard to be enthusiastic.
So you want to take some time each day to take care of that.
5. Take Care of Your Health
Number Five, take care of your health. It's hard to be enthusiastic when you feel like crap.
So think about the last time you maybe had a cold or like a fever, you're just kinda like, blah, right? You're like, this is not enthusiastic and no, I don't want to be doing this live video if I feel like crap. Right. It's just how it works.
6. Be Solution Orientated
And then number six, be solution oriented when it comes to facing challenges.
There's always going to be bumps in the road. Always. It doesn't matter what you're doing.
You can go sailing along thinking everything's great. In fact, this just happened to me this week, going along, sailing, thinking everything's great. And then BAM, a shark came up and ate my ship.
So you've got to be able to be solution oriented when you face adversary. Right? It's just how it works.
So right when you're facing challenges and 95% of the time when you are enthusiastic or positive about finding solutions, it's a lot easier than just dwelling in all of the issue. Right?
7. Help Others
And then number seven is help others. This is one that I figured out.
I used to think I was enthusiastic about you know, making income and growing my bank balance. I used to think that was cool, but I was empty even though no matter how much money I made, it didn't matter. It didn't make me happy.
And that's where this one comes in because it's definitely one that human beings are hardwired to do and that is helping others. So serving other people is hardwired into our human DNA.
So we are wired to be in the service of our fellow humans without expecting anything in return. And I know that probably all of you that are watching this have at some point in your life, if not just recently, served someone else or helped out someone else or helped out a friend.
And it gives you those warm, fuzzy feelings, especially if there isn't a payback for you.
So that is the seven keys on how to get and keep enthusiasm and to grow momentum in your team. It all starts with you.
If you're not enthusiastic about what you're doing, you may want to look in the mirror and go through these seven steps and then maybe ask yourself, is this what I should be doing if I'm not enthusiastic about it?
If it's not fun and you don't love it, what's the purpose in doing it, right? So figure out what your purpose is. And hopefully that will help you get through it.
But building teams and growing a customer base inside of this industry, it takes some grit and it's not always going to be fun and games. So you want to make sure and understand that you have to create the enthusiasm.
So when you are with yourself, when you're feeling down, you got to dig, and you've got to find that enthusiasm to be able to pass that on to others, that's actually your job as the leader inside of your team.
So I hope you got value out of today's episode. And if you have any questions or need more on how to build online using social media, grab the link that will be somewhere inside of this video and we will get you on that journey. I'll talk to you next time. Brandy xx
