Tuckered Out...

Suddenly Tuckered out? Improve your Daily Mode of Operation in 3 Easy Steps

Top Tip: Stay tuned to discover how to find your Daily Mode of Operation...

So I spent last week in Vegas at an event...

And honestly, I just want to get real with you about how it is at an event and what it takes to be successful.

And when you get home you're a little bit tuckered out.

I was seriously worn out for the last few days...

Have you ever felt like that?
Just worn out right?

From the events, long nights, and the long days giving and giving and receiving too...

Don't get me wrong events are awesome but the giving, giving, giving and going non-stop tires you out!

You're always talking to people, taking pictures, teaching people.

And that's what last week was about...

Now we took a day before we got there to relax and recharge.

But here's the thing, when you're running a business, things don't just stop because you're tired, right?

When I was gone, my business still had to run... I have a couple of team members that I work with.

I still had people coming into my business.

I still have kids and I had to message all the time...

And you're going to get worn out... It just happens.

Is this your daily mode of operation?

So I wanted to give you some tips on what to do when this happens so that you can continue to build your business even when you're "tuckered out".

Because if you don't take action every single day, you're not going to end up in the place you want to end up...

You're not going to be at the place you want to be 90 days down the road.

So here's the things you need to do...

Break down your goals to discover your Daily Mode of Operation

So this is what I find, I actually had some conversations with some team members today and they weren't really specific on where they wanted to go.

When you're not specific, you end up not hitting the goal, right?

You're just like, oh I want to make decent money or something like that.

That's not a goal.

So you've got to be specific about what your goals are..

And it's got to be super specific. Like for example, in 90 days I want to enroll one new person.

The next piece of that is breaking it down piece by piece so that you know on a daily basis what you need to be doing.

This is your daily mode of operation, this is what actually needs to happen everyday.

And then when you feel like you're tuckered out and you just want to lay in bed and you don't want to work anymore...you know that you have to get up and at least do those few things that you've listed on your daily mode of operation to move your business forward for that day.

The next piece of what you need to do even when you're tired is....

get to work and find your daily mode of operation

Get to work! Find your Daily Mode of Operation

Okay, now I get it. You're tired, you're tuckered out.

Things happen, life happens. You've got laundry, kids, church meetings, all those thing and more....

And it's important to understand that just because you're doing all of that...

If you want to build a business you have to responsible and make sure you're doing those daily activities that are going to move your business forward.

Because you can easily find yourself losing an entire week.

I've found myself doing this, your day can easily get hijacked, right?

Maybe something comes up with the kids or something happens in your business or you've got to take care of something at the school with the children or whatever...

And by the end of the week, you have not accomplished anything.

You're like, what just happened? Where did the time go?

And then you make excuses to yourself like "Oh, you know what? I'm just going to let that go. I'm going to start fresh again on Monday."

And then Monday comes and something else happens...

I see this over and over and over again with people that I work with.

And because they don't take their daily mode of operation seriously and break it down brick by brick, so that they know how to build that road to where they want to go..

All of a sudden 90 days will go by and they're not any closer to where they want to be...

They are thinking about their business 24 hours a day, right?

But they're not doing any business.

And then they feel like they're working it because they're constantly thinking about it...

But they're not actually accomplishing anything to move forward.

Like on Tuesday when I got home from Vegas, from the event I seriously was like, I just need a nap

But I have found that once you get in the grind it doesn't matter if you're tuckered out... the business happens whether you're tired or not and you've got to get on top of some of that stuff.

I had a huge "to do" list by the time I got home, huge things that had to get done.

The yard had to be mowed, the laundry had to be done. All those things, right? And because I'd been gone, there was no food in the house.

I'm sure you can relate.

And you just have to start to knock those off the list check by check and realize it's not gonna happen all in one day...

But what we want to make sure is that we are consistent in getting back to business and getting the daily mode of operation flowing again.

And once you start flowing, it's going to flow better...

You're going to get back into the groove of it.

And because you love it, hopefully you love it. If you don't love it, you might want to check in doing something else...

But... because you love it, you continue to do it.

Now again, you're going to get worn out. It happens, right?

And you're gonna get tuckered out.

You're going to get burnt out especially if you don't take any time for yourself, which is a whole other topic, but once you start knocking off those tasks off your list, you're going to feel like you accomplished more towards achieving your Daily Mode of Operation...

And then you can move forward.

Now I'm not saying don't take some time for yourself, obviously. Right?

I did take an hour nap on Tuesday, but then I got up and went back to work.

So here is my solid advice for when you are tuckered.

What can you do today to move your business forward?

There's a few things you can do and I'll give you mine as a an example to go by...

  • #1) I Connect with two or three people on a social media.

That means I talk to them on social media...

I ask them what they are up to? And I ask them how things are going... and I really connect with another human being. I have a conversation.

  • #2) I email my list.

So if you have an email list, you want the connections, right?

The human connections are huge for our industries. You want to make sure you are connecting with your list.

  • #3) I do a Facebook Live.

So if I haven't done a Facebook live that week, I usually like to try to hit three a week so that I have great content.

And it's also another connection tool with other human beings so that you can build those relationships.

So I hope that helps you figure out what to do when you're tuckered out.

Oh, one other thing, the bonus thing that I wanted to share with you about finding your Daily Mode of Operation.

When you're tuckered out, right? Then you want to go down to that skeletal level in your business.

Skeletal level in your business means:

Do the things that NEED to be done in your business!

That does not mean you go and do the grocery shopping and the laundry and all those other things that need to happen... and then build your business.

Your business should be top of your list after God and family, right?

Like for example sometimes my family can actually take up 25,000 hours of my time because I have six kids and I help my grandpa with the farm and all those things.

So you want to make sure that you have set times where you're working certain things and you have to honor that.

You have to just hold that time as sacred.

I just was having a conversation with a team member today, and she says she feels like she's all over the place, right?

She's got two little darling kids right there in the stage where they're all over, they're tearing stuff apart, you know, doing all this stuff and she's not exactly sure when to build her business.

And what's happening is she's not honoring that hour where she could get up an hour before them or do it an hour after they go to bed.

Because being a mom is huge, right?  That's a huge part of what a lot of us do. Being a parent is huge. And those kids need to come first.

However, they will suck every minute out of you if you let them. Right?

So get a system where maybe you have one hour a day where you're just focusing in on your business and moving forward using your Daily Mode of Operation.

When you set your work time you have to make the kids aware that time is your work time.

They have to be aware of this and how it's happening.  You have to train them to respect the business hours and respect what you do as well.
